By reading, responding, and relating on slynkey.com (the "Website") you are agreeing to abide by these Terms and Conditions. You are welcome to browse the website without providing any personal information.
slynkey.com encourages you to comment on articles and blog posts, but does not condone personal attacks on writers, staff, individuals mentioned or featured on the site or on other posters.
You may not use the Website to send or post messages or material that are unlawful, harassing, libelous, defamatory, abusive, threatening, harmful, vulgar, obscene, profane, sexually-oriented, threatening, racially offensive, inaccurate, or otherwise objectionable or that encourages conduct that could constitute a criminal offense.
Any comments deemed by slynkey management to be like this will be immediatly removed and the user may be blocked.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion of course, But let's keep the criticism constructive slynkey girls! slynkey is here to encourage and support NZ women, not a place for negativity or harshness.
Prizes
We send emails with 'CONGRATULATIONS FROM SLYNKEY.COM' in the subject to all winners. We may ask for your name & address for the prize to be sent, advise you where you can collect your prize OR attach a printable voucher. Or we may ask if we can pass on your details to the company offering the prize so they can send or email out the prize.
If you do not get a reply to your email with your name & address or any details, we may not have got it. Please try emailing info [at] e-publications [dot] co [dot] nz if this happens. This should ensure no prize details are lost coming back to slynkey.
slynkey takes no responsibility for 'congratulations' emails not getting through user's Spam filters - sorry.
Also, prizes must be collected (if they are local & to be collected) or contact made from winner with their address (if they are small & being posted) within 1 month from the date of slynkey sending the email notifying winner that they have won.
AND if it is found that the winner has mislead or provided incorrect information on their profile - Eg. their name, gender, age or region, the win is instantly void and the prize will be re-drawn.
What personal information do we collect? How do we use it?
At slynkey we use the information we collect about you to send out a weekly regional newsletter, Direct mailouts and to provide a more personalised viewing web experience.
When you register on slynkey, we need to know your name, e-mail address, date of birth, closest region and how you found out about slynkey. This allows us to keep you informed of what is happening on slynkey via the correct regional weekly newsletter and so we can monitor our marketing.We also need this information to so we can notify you of the of any competitions that you have won. Providing your cell phone number is optional and we use this as a back up for advising prize winners, and may use for txt marketing in the future. The added information (likes and dislikes etc) relates to and will show on your profile.
We use your personal information to operate, maintain, and provide to you the features and functionality of the slynkey site. Bear in mind any personal information that you voluntarily disclose online (in comments, in the forum, within your public profile page, etc.) becomes instantly publicly available and can be collected and used by others. Your username (not your email address) is displayed to other users when you post comments throughout the slynkey.com site. Other users or 3rd parties cannot contact you directly.
How does slynkey protect reader information?
The information you supply when you register on slynkey is not sold or ever given to a 3rd party.
Will slynkey disclose the information it collects to outside parties?
slynkey does not sell information to 3rd parties. If you subscribe through the site, then you will receive the weekly newsletter and/or any promotional information that we think will be of interest to you. But it will only ever come from slynkey.
What about links to other websites and services?
The slynkey website may contain links to other sites that are not under our control. These websites have their own terms and conditions and policies regarding privacy. You should review those policies before visiting the websites. We bear no responsibility for linked websites.
Your consent
By registering to the site, you consent to the receiving of the weekly newsletter, any promotional emails that we think will be of interest and that we can contact you to tell you you have won a prize or to confirm event ticket sales.
Adverising Terms of Sale are available when a booking made.
Cookies
When you visit the slynkey.com site, we may send one or more cookies - a small text file containing a string of alphanumeric characters - to your computer that uniquely identifies your browser. slynkey uses both session cookies and persistent cookies. A persistent cookie remains after you close your browser. Persistent cookies may be used by your browser on subsequent visits to the site. Log File Information
When you use the slynkey site, our servers automatically record certain information that your web browser sends whenever you visit any website. These server logs may include information such as your web request, Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type, browser language, referring / exit pages and URLs, platform type, number of clicks, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed and the order of those pages, the amount of time spent on particular pages, the date and time of your request, and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser.
Clear GIFs Information
When you use the slynkey.com site, we may employ "clear GIFs" (a.k.a. Web Beacons) which are used to track the online usage patterns of our Users anonymously (i.e., in a non-personally-identifiable manner). In addition, we may also use clear GIFs in HTML-based emails sent to our users to track which emails are opened by recipients.
Your Choices
You may, of course, decline to submit personally identifiable information through the slynkey site, in which case slynkey may not be able to provide certain services to you. You may update or correct your personal profile information and unsubscribe from the regular emails by using the link at the bottom of all our newsletters. NOTE: If you unsubscribe form the newsletters, you can still log in & comment, buy party tickets and enter competitions.

To protect your privacy and security, we take reasonable steps (such as requesting a unique password) to verify your identity before granting you profile access or making corrections. You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your unique password and account information at all times.
