How it started...

slynkey went live in February 2006 as a Christchurch-only online magazine. Editor and owner Ruth Lynskey was finding the other similar offerings very Auckland-centric and wanted to offer the girls in her town a great online magazine of their own! So she partnered with a friend who owned a web develoment company and slynkey was born!

Wellington and Auckland regional versions were added in 2008, So now slynkey girls all around New Zealand can join and read content and enter competitions that are relevant to them!

You just make sure you have the right region selected in the top left corner, So you can see comps & content for your region. And make sure that you have your closest region selected on your profile so you get mail & party invites relevant to that region!

How it works

It is FREE to sign up to slynkey, you have to be registered to enter competitions, comment/ ask questions on articles and come to our events. You really need to sign up to take full advantage of the slynkey site.

Brand new articles and blog posts are added to slynkey every day and new competitions are added every week.

Members receive regular newsletters informing them of the newest articles on slynkey, and information about brands and deals that we think they would be interested in.

You may also get emails about products and deals we think you may be interested in (this is how we make money and can keep slynkey running!). You can unsubscribe from these emails at anytime through a link at the bottom of the email.

We also hold events including our famous 'Girls Night Out' parties in the 3 main centres Auckland, Wellington & Christchurch through out the year. All registered slynkey girls will get invites! Check out our Events page for more info.
