Where do you get your news...
You may have heard over the last couple of days reports of people up in arms over Cadbury Creme Eggs being now made in the UK and no longer here in Kiwiland.
The interesting thing however, is not the fact that the Creme Eggs taste horrible now but that this news came out because people were becoming disgruntled and expressing their views on social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter. Which actually got me thinking...
Where do I get the majority of my news from?
It used to be the case that if you wanted to know about the happenings in the world you'd either a) read the paper or b) watch the news (listen to the radio) but now more than ever we are looking to the Internet for answers.
Despite what you may think its not just on the traditional news sites where we get access to all of the up to the date news - it's on the social networking sites too. Facebook and Twitter are both great sources for up to the date news because if your friends find something of interest to them and post it, you too are likely to find it interesting.
If you're interested in up to the minute news I would recommend that you get yourself a Twitter account because you can follow newspapers, magazines and news organisations to find out whats going on in the world, as well as other interesting people as well such as actors and comedians that you like too - alot of the time they have some pretty interesting things to say as well.
You will find that you'll also get more up to date news as well - thats the case currently. I was up pretty late the other night when news of Alexanda McQueens' death broke - it was 3am in the morning here in NZ and hence news sites like www.stuff.co.nz hadn't picked up on it yet, but a number of my followers on Twitter had and were retweeting their hearts out.
If you're interested in seeing the people I follow or following me and see all the random stuff I post throughout the day my twitter name is @Tashcain.
Have a great day ladies!
