The Ugg Boot

The ultimate winter shoe: its comfy, its cheap and its relatively good-looking - It's the ugg boot!
Subject of many a superficial debate, the ugg boots' best use seems to be rather subjective. Here, however I will share with you my views on how to get the best out of your uggs.
To start, knowing how and when to wear these can be very difficult. They are, after all the perfect hybrid of shoe and slipper. Which in turn means they are constantly walking a fine line between acceptability on either side. It is the ultimate 'undies undies togs' situation.
So, here's a few things to think about before making the decision either way:
- Do they have a hard heel? If not, you can stop reading here, what you have there is a fully-fledged slipper, no 'shoe' about it.
- Are they high tops or ankle uggs? Again, if they are ankle, you've got a slipper and unless you've been sucked into the 'granddad chic' trend, leave them at the end of your bed.
- Speaking of, if you have been sucked into the 'granddad chic' trend - get out now. You have plenty of time to dress like this, and you'll probably even do it unintentionally.
Before donning your Uggs think about where you are going. If you are not in a juicy velour tracksuit, somewhere it's snowing or if you are going somewhere that takes more than seven minutes in your car - take them off. Dairy runs, DVD pick-ups, last minute supermarket visits and take-away pickups are the most widely regarded acceptable ugg boot times. These and of course whenever you are hung over.
Of course, these rules are rather ridiculous. It is up to you what you wear and anyone who tells you otherwise is also rather ridiculous. I guess I just find it hard to understand why you would wear Ugg boots when there are so many amazing shoes to be worn slynkey girls!
