Get a Camera-Ready Base in Minutes!
Every slynkey girl should know that your base sets the stage for your whole makeup look. A bad base means nothing will sit right, your complexion will look rough and your overall look will not tie together. A clear, even-looking base is the best makeup item you can wear!
So follow these quick and easy steps to get an amazing base, ready for the cameras:
1. Start with well-cleansed and moisturised skin. Wash skin with a bath of warm water and a soft face cloth. Tip: Try adding a few drops of tea-tree oil to the water for a thorough cleanse.
2. Apply a light foundation primer (most makeup brands offer at least one primer product, just ask) with your fingers. This helps your foundation blend better, last longer and look that much more flawless.
3. Apply your foundation with a brush or sponge from the centre of your face, blending outwards. Tip: Using a brush or sponge instead of your fingers keeps nastty bacteria away from your skin and you will use less foundation I promise! You don't need to apply foundation all over the face, only where you need coverage or colour correction. If it looks patchy then it's the wrong colour. It should almost dissapear iwhen it's right.
4. Apply concealer with a concealer brush or sponge under the eye area, around the nose and anywhere else where extra coverage is needed.
5. Pat and roll on loose powder with a large powder brush and then lightly buff into the skin. This will help to set your makeup, make it last even longer and blend everything together.
6. Lightly fill in your eyebrows with an eye shadow or brow pencil one shade lighter than the natural colour of your brows. This will frame your face perfectly and add definition to your eyes.
Now proceed with the eye, cheeks and lip colours that you are going with, knowing you have laid a great foundation and will be looking fab!
