2010: A new year, new hair!

We have so many clients who want to have a new hair cut/colour since we have been back on the salon floor this year.

Some are going for lighter shades, others going for darker, shorter, longer or are going for a major change!

It's so fun to follow fashion trends but also it is important to know what suits you and what doesn't.

Girls can be greedy sometimes, We always want something we don't have. Like I would love to have nice wavy hair (because my hair is super straight asian hair) or bigger boobs or something like that... But I can't do much about what I have been given from my parents so instead I try to know what I have and how to work them.

Here are some tips to know what style suits your face shape!

If you have a SQUARE shaped face
GO GO....Wispy layers and highlights around the hair line to soften square face shape. A soft bob is a really good choice.                 
NO NO......sharp and strong cut. Blunt fringes make square shaped faces look even more square.

If you have a LONG shaped face
GO GO....Fringes! to shorten the fore head.... and go for full layers.
NO NO....The barbie cut (one length, heavy blunt cut) it will make your face super long!

If you have a ROUND shaped face
GO GO....Long sweepy side fringes to help to slim features... Also opt for feathered or layered looks.
NO NO.....Curly, curly hair styles or cuts that sit on your chin! Like a bob...these make your face really rounder.

If you have a HEART shaped face
GO GO...Styles that are fuller at the ends...side sweepy layers. A wavy bob will be super cute for those slynkey girls with heart shaped faces.
NO NO...Blunt cuts and short cuts  - avoid these at all costs..

If you have a OVAL shaped face
GO GO...You can rock any style! How about big hair?
NO NO..Super straight hair will make your face look too thin.
