slynkey girls!! What are you doing this weekend? Keen to party? Now when I say party, I don't mean a few quiet drinks at your local pub or bar, I mean PARTY! If you're after a happening dance floor and a great DJ, then Red Square is where you should be heading!

Located right in town on Blair St off Courtenay Place, Red Square is in the heart of Wellington's nightlife scene. From the moment you walk into Red Square, you can't help but notice the seductive, elegant interior.

It's not called Red Square for no reason - gorgeous red velvet curtains line the walls while beautiful chandeliers provide a dimly lit, seductive atmosphere. There are a number of leather booths to choose from, an extensive dance floor as well as two outdoor (but covered) smoking lounges.

Red Square has an impressive line up of alcohol behind the bar and a nice cocktail list. The Berry Box cocktail was really yummy - a fantastic blend of raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, lime, Barcardi Gold, strawberry liqueur and soda. There are also a huge range of Martinis!

Red Square also has a great selection of beers and wines, as well as offering a Cheeseboard and Tapas Platter selection. But let's be honest, you don't go to Red Square to sit around and eat.

The night that I visited Red Square, I was lucky enough to attend the Wellington Phoenix's After Party! The Phoenix had hired out the private atrium area out the back of Red Square. There was a really nice atmosphere at the event and the bar staff were fantastic!

Red Square is available for exclusive hire on Sunday to Thursday until 6am or on Friday and Saturday until midnight. The venue can comfortably accommodate 150 people or you can hire the atrium area which can accommodate up to 500 people for large events!
